Roll To Die
A downloadable game
A lone robot, down on its luck, plugs into a high-stakes energy table, wagering its very life in a desperate game. Each turn, it must decide how many dice to roll, knowing that every roll drains its power. Before rolling, it bets on a specific face, to augment the effect of the face the dice lands on. A correct bet fuels its survival, while a wrong one pushes it closer to shutdown. In this battle of luck and almost no strategy, the robot's fate rests on the roll of the dice.
Game Overview
Heavily inspired by Buckshot Roulette, this is a turn-based, high-stakes gambling game where robots wager their own energy—their very life—to survive. The game is entirely controlled by the mouse:
- Right-click to select and deselect the dice and place bets.
- Press the "Gamba" button to roll the dice.
- Left-click to remove chips from a bet.
Each turn, the robot chooses up to 3 dice, with each die costing 10 energy to roll. Before rolling, the player can bet on specific dice faces using chips. Betting enhances the effects of that face if it lands.
Dice Faces & Effects
- ⚡ Bolt – Heals the player by 10 energy, increasing by +10 per chip bet.
- 🗡️ Sword – Damages the enemy by 10, increasing by +10 per chip bet.
- ⭕ Drain – Drains 5 energy from the enemy and heals the player by 5, increasing by +5 per chip bet.
- 🛡️ Shield – Blocks all incoming damage for the turn. When active, the energy case glows golden. Each chip bet heals 10 energy instead.
- ❓ Question Mark – Doubles the number of chips the player has bet.
- ❌ X – Damages the player by 10. If bet on, it instead heals the player by 15 and deals 10 damage to the enemy.
